SOUTH EASTON — Southeastern Regional School District is proud to announce that Southeastern Technical Institute (STI) has welcomed Angela Pasquantonio as the post-secondary Practical Nurse Program Director.
“I am committed to fostering an environment where our students can thrive, learn and grow into compassionate nurses,” said Pasquantonio. “Together we can build a brighter future for healthcare, one dedicated nurse at a time.”
Prior to joining STI’s staff, Pasquantonio was a full time faculty member at Roxbury Community College for four years. In this role she assisted the director in setting up a new program and aided with clinical patients. She also has experience working as a classroom, clinical and lab instructor at Endicott College, Massachusetts General Health Institute and Becker College.
Pasquantonio has also worked as a nurse manager, charge nurse and staff nurse at a variety of hospitals and facilities in the greater Boston area. In these roles she managed units, provided leadership to staff members and support to patients and families.
Pasquantonio holds a master’s degree in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Education from Curry College, a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rhode Island College, and an associate’s degree in Nursing, associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and a licensed practical nurse diploma from the Community College of Rhode Island.
“We are thrilled to welcome Angela into her new role as Practical Nurse Program Director,” Technical Institute Director Patricia Illsley said. “Her extensive experience leading nurses and caring for patients makes her a great addition to the program. I look forward to working with her and am confident she will thrive in this role.”
STI offers full-time day and part-time evening Practical Nurse Programs that prepares graduates to be eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-PN examination. The course of study includes classroom, laboratory and clinical learning experiences.
