CANTON — Chief Wendell Robery and the Canton Fire Department are pleased to invite community members to the department’s Open House.
“The Open House is one of our favorite activities to host each year,” said Chief Robery. “We look forward to welcoming the community to the station to meet our firefighters, have some fun and learn about fire safety.”

Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Canton Fire Station 1, 99 Revere St., Canton, MA 02021
WHAT:
In celebration and recognition of Fire Prevention Week, the Canton Fire Department hosts an open house featuring family activities and demonstrations. The event is open to all and free to attend.
During the open house, guests can enjoy live demonstrations and interactive activities. They include:
- Car extrication demonstration
- First responder therapy dogs
- Bounce house
- Vehicle tours
- Fire hose activities
Refreshments will be served during the event. Canton Fire T-shirts will also be sold.
Fire Prevention Week, recognized Oct. 6-12 this year, is organized by the National Fire Protection Association to educate the public about simple but important ways to keep themselves and those they live with safe. This year’s campaign is “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™”
