Maynard Police Department Charges Woman with Arson

MAYNARD —Police Chief Michael Noble and Fire Chief Angela Lawless report that a Maynard woman was arrested and charged with one count of arson following a diligent investigation.

ANABELLE DENTINO, AGE 26, of MAYNARD, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Arson of Dwelling House (One Count)
  • Causing Injury to Firefighter (One Count)

On June 5, at about 11:55 p.m., Maynard Police and Fire responded again to 1 Little Road for a report of a structure fire. The home was unoccupied. One firefighter sustained minor injuries during the response. Mutual aid was provided by the Stow, Acton, Sudbury, and Hudson Police Departments.

Maynard Police and Fire, assisted by regional mutual investigators and the State Fire Marshal’s Office, soon identified DENTINO as a suspect. A warrant was sought, and she was arrested on Tuesday, July 16 without incident.

The investigation into other incidents that occurred at this address remains active and ongoing.

DENTINO was arraigned at Concord District Court on Wednesday and is being held without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing on Aug. 5.

Maynard Police and Fire would like to thank District 14 Arson investigators and the State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s office for their assistance and expertise in this investigation.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
