BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas P. Browne is pleased to share that the Burlington Police Department has sworn in three new officers.
The three new officers — Timothy Pinkham, Ryan Shea, and Peter Eldredge — were sworn in on Monday, July 15.
Officer Timothy Pinkham
Officer Pinkham graduated from the Merrimack College Police Academy in April. He served as a Seasonal Marine Patrol Officer I for the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol and has experience working as a Student Security Officer for Merrimack College Student Security.
He participated in an internship with the Burlington Police Department in 2021.
Officer Pinkham holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Merrimack College.
Officer Ryan Shea
Officer Shea comes to Burlington from the Belmont Police Department, where he has served as a Patrolman since January 2023. He has conducted routine patrols and responded to both the emergency and non-emergency needs of the public.
He graduated from the Massachusetts Police Training Committee (MPTC) Police Academy in Lynnfield in 2023. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Merrimack College, and is pursuing a Master’s degree from Lasell University.
Officer Peter Eldredge
Officer Eldredge joins Burlington Police after serving as a Patrolman for the Townsend Police Department for two years, where he responded to calls for service, conducted traffic enforcement, and engaged with the community. He interned at the Acton Police Department in 2021.
He graduated from the MPTC Recruit Officer Course in Boylston in 2022, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
