MAY

On Tuesday, May 21, 117 students in the eighth-grade class took a field trip to Washington, DC, where they viewed monuments and visited museums.

Additionally, all grades participated in Field Day, a PTO-sponsored event as part of the PoP! Fundraiser at the end of May.

JUNE

On Thursday, June 6, Performing Arts Night was held for students to perform musical and theater pieces from Broadway shows to showcase their talents. It was organized with the help of English teacher Keri Thivierge and Guidance Counselor Sonya Lehane.

On Friday, June 7, a breakfast celebration was held for the Warriors of the Quarter who demonstrated hard work, grit and the core values of The Warrior Way: be safe, be kind, be responsible and be respectful. Warrior of the Quarter awards go to students who exemplify achievement and progress. Those values comprise the middle school’s “Warrior Way.”

Later that day, a masquerade-themed semi-formal dance was put on for the eighth-grade class.

On Monday, June 10, more than 400 students, staff and families gathered on the front lawn of Hurley Middle School to recognize 161 members of the eighth-grade class with Certificates of Promotion and accolades.

“This school year has gone by so fast, and I am thrilled to celebrate all of our student’s hard work with these fun-filled events,” said Principal Bouchard. “I would like to congratulate the HMS Class of 2024! It has been a pleasure watching this class grow and I wish them the best of luck in their high school careers!”
