  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Resisting Arrest

On Thursday, June 20, at about 5:31 p.m., Georgetown Police received reports that a group of people were consuming alcohol on the beach, which is a violation of town bylaws.

Officers were dispatched to the beach and upon arrival, observed that two males and four females were socializing near a tree and that several were in possession of alcohol.

Officers ordered the group to disperse. All of its members obeyed the command, except the MALE JUVENILE who led officers on a foot pursuit while yelling obscenities and causing discomfort to passers-by.

The MALE JUVENILE was later observed near the basketball courts off Flint Road, and subsequently stopped on Chaplin Road. The MALE JUVENILE refused officers’ orders and punched an officer on the side of the face with a closed fist.

The MALE JUVENILE was apprehended and transported to the Georgetown Police Station, where bail was set at $500. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Lawrence Juvenile Court on Friday, June 21.
