Statement of the Town of Norfolk Regarding Arrival of Migrant Families

NORFOLK — The following is a statement by the Town of Norfolk:

The Town was informed this week that the opening of the temporary emergency shelter at the Bay State Correctional Center has been delayed and is now scheduled to open during the last week of June.

Initially, the Town was told by state officials that the shelter would be opening in mid-June.

If there are any further updates to share we will provide new information as it becomes available.
