Hull High School Announces Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

HULL — Superintendent Judith Kuehn is pleased to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Hull High School Class of 2024. 

HULL — Superintendent Judith Kuehn is pleased to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Hull High School Class of 2024. 

The valedictorian of the graduating class is Veronica “Ronni” Fleming and the salutatorian is Victoria Dolan.

“Veronica ‘Ronni’ Fleming is the Valedictorian of Hull High School, class of 2024, and is a scholar with exemplary accomplishments,” said Superintendent Kuehn. “She promotes academic and civic excellence, is kind, thoughtful, sincere, hard-working, detailed, zealous and is extremely well regarded by staff and peers. Her systemic leadership, and ability to model the way, is extraordinary.” 

Fleming is interested in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields, environmental science, history and law. She is currently taking six courses in Advanced Placement and is an AP scholar with honors.

In addition to her academics, Fleming is a member of the HHS Key Club, has volunteered to promote mental health awareness within her school and community and has volunteered for Hospice care, as well as for a local food drive. She is the acting president of the Hull High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. 

Fleming has been the recipient of many awards during her high school years, including, but not limited to the Hull High School Mission Award, securing a perfect score on the Math MCAS examination, the Dartmouth Book Award, the United States Air Force Recruiting Service Outstanding Achievement in STEM, HPS Mastery in Spanish IV, HPS Mastery in AP Language, and is a member of Project Humanitarian Involvement (PHI) for service with the Dominican Republic.

Fleming’s applied experience includes being chosen as an SAT tutor on the Schoolhouse site, which partners with Khan Academy, and hosts online Zoom sessions twice per week for a group of 10 students for the English, reading, and writing components of the SAT. 

On the athletic fields, Fleming was named Winter Track Rookie of the Year as a ninth grader and a Spring Track South Shore League All-Star. She has been invited to compete in sprints at the state level and is the current captain for her teammates. Fleming also plays both club and spring soccer and is a member of the Hull High School Band. 
 

She has committed to Harvard University for the next phase of her educational and personal development.

“On behalf of the entire district, I would like to congratulate our salutatorian Victoria Dolan” said Superintendent Kuehn. “Victoria will be attending Harvard University next year. Her applied work is extraordinary and her work ethic, courage, perseverance, integrity, intelligence, and applied work are exemplary.”

Dolan is interested in government and will be pursuing her degree in this area. She is an AP scholar with honors. Dolan has written over 100 articles for the Hingham Journal, the South Shore Conservatory Blog, Headliners in Education, the Hull Times. This past summer she was accepted into the New England High School Journalism Collaborative with the Boston Globe, Simmons College, and Regis College. This opportunity is a competitive free summer program that trains the next generation of journalists. 

Additionally, Dolan was previously named HHSTA Actor of the Year in 2021-22. She also earned the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Excellence in Acting Award at the regional level and has multiple perfect scores in Mock Trial. 

“Victoria is quick on her feet, can synthesize information in a well-organized format, is an exceptional listener, and her work ethic is unparalleled,” said Superintendent Kuehn.

Dolan has been a member of several groups and clubs during her four years at Hull High School including theater, student government and systemic leadership for younger students in her local church. She has also been an active member of mock trial, the HHS Chapter of the National Honor Society, an employee at Scoops Ice Cream and a candidate in the New England High School Journalism Collaborative. She has played classical piano since first grade and has been part of the South Shore Conservatory since grade six. 

She has committed to Harvard University for the next phase of her educational and personal development.
