MILTON — Principal Suzanne Banach is pleased to share that St. Mary of the Hills School hosted its Multicultural Night earlier this month.
On Thursday, May 2, about 200 community members, staff and students visited St. Mary of Hills School for Multicultural Night. There were over 100 students who participated in the event.
Students researched and presented on 11 different countries. Each project was on display throughout the classrooms. Early childhood students made crafts representing countries from around the world and displayed them throughout the halls of the school.
There were 40 food dishes representing culinary cultures from over 25 countries, made by students and their families. Students wore clothing items native to the country they chose to research. During the event, music from several different countries was played and students danced throughout the night.
“The Multicultural Night event was a really special time for all involved,” said Principal Banach. “It was heartening to see students, parents and staff come together to celebrate diversity, promote understanding and foster unity within our school.”
