
HULL — Chief John Dunn reports that the Hull Police Department arrested a man on child pornography charges yesterday following an investigation in partnership with the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force.
JAMES TUCKER, AGE 69, OF HULL, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Disseminating Child Pornography
- Photographing an Unsuspecting Nude Person
As part of an ongoing investigation into child pornography, a search warrant was obtained and executed at TUCKER’S home at 10 Driftway Ave. in Hull at approximately 6 a.m. on May 7. Officers arrived at the residence and determined that no one was home. Officers then entered the home and conducted the search warrant with members of the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force.
While conducting their search, officers seized several hard drives, thumb drives and other items as evidence.
At approximately 12 p.m. on May 7, Hull Police contacted TUCKER via phone and advised him of the search warrant at his residence. They determined that TUCKER was in Florida and would be returning to Massachusetts on Tuesday, May 14.
Yesterday, at approximately 4 p.m., Hull Police officers arrived at Boston Logan International Airport, along with Massachusetts State Police detectives, members of the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force and members of the Plymouth County Sheriffs Warrant Apprehension Unit to arrest TUCKER.
At approximately 5:40 p.m., TUCKER exited the aircraft he was traveling on and was taken into custody without incident and his cell phone was seized as evidence. He was transported to the Hull Police Department for booking and was held on $25,040 bail pending his arraignment.
TUCKER is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday, May 15, in Hingham District Court.
The matter remains under active investigation by the Hull Police Department and members of the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
