BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas P. Browne reports that Burlington Police are actively investigating an armed robbery early this morning.
On Wednesday, May 8 at approximately 3:30 a.m. Burlington Police were dispatched to a Mobil Gas station, 173 Bedford St., for a report of an individual who robbed the store at gunpoint.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with staff who explained that a male party entered the store wearing a mask and gloves, brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money. After demanding money, the suspect left the building and was seen traveling east on Bedford Street.
Burlington Police, with the help of the Billerica K-9 Unit, searched the surrounding area, but a suspect was not found.
The suspect stole approximately $400.
The suspect is described as an adult man, approximately 5-feet-10 inches tall, who was wearing a mask and gloves.
There were no reported injuries.
