Bristol-Plymouth Regional Design and Visual Communications Student Serenity Cross Named Winner of MAMH and MHC Mental Health Matters Student Expression Contest

TAUNTON — Superintendent Alexandre Magalhaes is pleased to announce that Bristol-Plymouth Regional Design and Visual Communications student Serenity Cross has received recognition for her outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH) and the Massachusetts Health Council’s (MHC) Mental Health Matters Student Expression Contest.

TAUNTON — Superintendent Alexandre Magalhaes is pleased to announce that Bristol-Plymouth Regional Design and Visual Communications student Serenity Cross has received recognition for her outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH) and the Massachusetts Health Council’s (MHC) Mental Health Matters Student Expression Contest.

The annual event, in recognition of Mental Health Month, is designed to promote mental wellness and support students to better understand, protect and maintain their own mental health.

Cross’s entry, “Not Defined” was awarded first place and a prize of $250 for her entry in the High School Artistic Still category, which utilizes painting, drawing or digital art. 

Her submission has been commended by MMAMH for its creativity, resilience and profound portrayal of the importance of maintaining positive mental health during challenging times. 

“On behalf of the district, I would like to invite our community to join me in congratulating Serenity on this remarkable achievement,” said Design and Visual Communications Instructor Dana Bullock. “We believe that Serenity’s work will serve as an inspiration to others, shedding light on the significance of mental wellness within our community.”

Winning submissions were announced on Monday, May 6.
