About the Middleborough Master Plan:
The town is working with its regional planning agency — the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD) — to develop its next community Master Plan. Middleborough’s Master Plan was last updated in 2002.
According to SRPEDD, a Master Plan is a policy guide designed to help communities create a vision of what they want to look like in the future. Master Plans help guide communities in their planning decisions for many years and are a valuable resource for anyone who would like to better understand a community’s values and priorities.
Over the next two years, the Town of Middleborough, with support from SRPEDD, will build a new Master Plan based on a combination of input from residents, business owners, community organizers and other stakeholders, and current, accurate data about the town. The new plan will help guide the town for the next 10 years.
A series of community workshops and opportunities throughout the process will encourage input and feedback from stakeholders to help shape the town’s Master Plan. Topic-based workshops are expected to be held from June to November before the Master Plan writing and reviewing process will begin in 2025.
