MEREDITH — Superintendent Mary Moriarty, Principal Amanda Downing, and Athletic Director Sarah Dumais are pleased to share that five Inter-Lakes Middle/ High School students have been recognized for their achievements as scholar-athletes by statewide organizations.
The annual awards ceremony, which is sponsored by the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) and the New Hampshire Athletic Directors Association (NHADA), was held on April 2 at the Capitol Center For the Arts in Concord.
1,580 students across New Hampshire were recognized from all four divisions of high school athletes. Eligible students must carry at least B+ or equivalent grade-point average, take part in community service activities, and participate on at least two varsity teams for at least two seasons.
The following Inter-Lakes students were recognized at the ceremony for their continued dedication to athletics and academics:
- Benoit Beaudoin — Soccer, Basketball, Baseball
- Haley Doda — Volleyball, Basketball, Lacrosse
- Olivia Kimball — Soccer, Basketball, Tennis
- Lily Richardson — Soccer, Track & Field
- Michael Robinson — Soccer, Baseball
Students who were selected as scholar-athletes have the opportunity to apply for the $500 NHADA scholarship, which is awarded to one female and one male athlete in each of the four divisions.
“Congratulations to each of the students who were acknowledged for their commitment and passion for athletics and academics,” said Dumais. “These students work hard each day to better themselves, their classmates, and their teammates, and are beyond deserving of the recognition they have received.”
