MANSFIELD – Superintendent Teresa Murphy and Principal Russ Booth wish to invite local high school students and their families to attend the annual Post-Secondary Planning Fair this month.
WHEN:
Thursday, March 14, from 6:30-8 p.m.
WHERE:
Mansfield High School gymnasium, 250 East St.
WHAT:
All local high school students and their families are invited to attend the Post-Secondary Planning Fair this week, which will provide students an opportunity to explore post-secondary paths and alternatives to four-year colleges and universities.
Representatives in attendance will include trade schools, community colleges, military representatives, gap year programs, career representatives, full-time job opportunities, transition services and more.
Admission is free. This event is open to all students and families in Mansfield and surrounding communities. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time during the event.
All attendees will also be automatically entered into a raffle to win door prizes.
“There are many options for students once they graduate high school and what path they will follow in their post-secondary years is an important choice,” Superintendent Murphy said. “Through the Post-Secondary Planning Fair, we hope to help students and their families understand all the paths available to them to help them make an informed decision. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet representatives and make connections that could benefit them in their futures.”
Mansfield High School first hosted the Post-Secondary Planning Fair in 2016. Given the high interest in and attendance at the event, Mansfield High School and the staff planning team have continued to offer the opportunity each year.
