ConVal Regional High School Students Earn Recognition at Scholastic Art Awards

PETERBOROUGH — Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders, Principal Heather McKillop and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director Jennifer Kiley are pleased to announce that ConVal Regional High School students earned recognition from Scholastic Art Awards.

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, Feb. 11 at Pinkerton Academy in Derry. 35 students from ConVal High art classes and those enrolled in the Digital Photo and Video Program at the Regional 14 Applied Technology Center were recognized for their work.

Students created a variety of artistic mediums that they submitted to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Submissions included paintings, drawings, ceramics, and more.

Submissions were judged on originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice of vision.

ConVal High School participates in the Scholastic Art Awards annually and this year students in the Digital Photo program earned more honors than any other CTE center in New Hampshire.

“I would like to congratulate all our students for their recognition and hard work,” said Principal McKillop. “I would also like to thank our teachers for their commitment to our students and for helping them achieve their goals and receiving these wonderful awards. At ConVal High School School we encourage creativity and growth, and I am honored to watch our students put themselves out there and have their work be displayed and seen.”
