TOWNSEND – Superintendent Brad Morgan and Athletic Director Matt Dawson are pleased to announce that the North Middlesex Regional Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the fall 2024 induction.
Former and current members of the North Middlesex community are eligible to nominate someone for the Hall of Fame. Nominations can be submitted through the online form or in person to Director Dawson.
Nominations must be completed by April 1.
The North Middlesex Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes and honors the school’s athletes, coaches, teams, administrators and outstanding members of the North Middlesex athletics community.
No more than six members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in any given year.
“North Middlesex has a very long and proud history in athletics that has included a lot of great players, teams and support along the way,” said Director Dawson. “There is no better way to honor those people than induction into the NM Hall of Fame.”
Members of the Hall of Fame Board will collect nominations and conduct a final vote. The Board is made up of the athletic director, high school principal, coaches or former coaches at North Middlesex and members of the community. Board members serve different roles, including chair, vice-chair and secretary. Board members may nominate candidates following the nomination process. Five members must be present for the voting process with a majority vote.
Categories for the Hall of Fame include a student-athlete (including team manager), a coach or athletic trainer, a team, a special contributor and/or a school community member who has made significant contributions to North Middlesex athletics.
Each category nominee must meet a set of requirements and the Board may waive requirements in special circumstances.
Hall of Fame inductees will be notified in June.
A reception will be held around homecoming weekend in the fall to celebrate the inductees. Those inducted into the Hall of Fame will receive a plaque and a separate plaque will be displayed in the North Middlesex Hall of Fame case.
