MILAN – Superintendent David Backler and Principal Amy Huter are pleased to announce that Milan Village School recently launched the Fresh Air Friday program.
The Fresh Air Friday program kicked-off on Friday, Jan. 19. Milan Village students participated in outdoor winter activities including cross country skiing and snow shoeing at the Nansen Ski Club in Berlin, NH, free of charge.
Students in grades 3-6 had the opportunity to practice their ski and snowboarding skills at Wildcat Mountain in Gorham, NH, with professional instruction at a discounted rate.
The goal of the four-week program is to promote healthy outdoor activities for students, and offer them an opportunity to connect with their peers, practice their skills or learn a new sport.
“I would like to thank the instructors at Nansen Ski Club for working with our students throughout the program,” said Principal Huter. “This is a great program to get our students out of the classroom and participating in outdoor activities. Students really look forward to each Friday to be able to go to the ski club and I am excited to see what this week brings for the program.”
