EAST BRIDGEWATER — Town Administrator Charles Seelig and the Old Colony Planning Council are seeking volunteers to serve on the Master Plan Committee.
Eligible volunteers include Town employees, residents of East Bridgewater or those who work in East Bridgewater.
As part of the Committee, members will help to draft the new Master Plan that will be presented to the East Bridgewater Planning Board for approval at a future meeting. The Master Plan Committee will meet on a monthly basis in the coming year.
Anyone interested in participating on the Committee can complete the volunteer form and submit it to Rebecca Johnson at rjohnson@eastbridgewaterma.gov or contact the East Bridgewater Selectboard at 508-378-1601. The deadline to apply is Thursday, Jan. 4.
A Master Plan describes the current state and future vision of a community. It acts as a roadmap, guiding future growth and development while promoting the health, safety and general welfare of residents. Members of the Committee will guide local public policy, as well as projects and initiatives the Town would like to work on over the next decade or longer.
