King Philip Regional High School Reports on Flooding Due to Monday’s Storm

WRENTHAM — Superintendent Rich Drolet and Principal Nicole Bottomley report that flooding occurred at King Philip Regional High School as a result of Monday’s serious storms.

On Monday morning, amid the heavy rain and flood warnings posted throughout New England, a floor drain at King Philip Regional High School flooded, resulting in the closure of one of the hallways in the high school building for approximately one hour.

The school day continued without interruption. Facilities staff at the high school addressed the leak, and facilities staff cleaned and disinfected the area before the hallway was re-opened to foot traffic.

Superintendent Drolet and Principal Bottomley wish to express their gratitude to the hard-working staff who addressed and cleaned the flooding and to the faculty, staff and students of King Philip for their flexibility and cooperation.
