NEWBURY – Town Administrator Tracy Blais and the Town of Newbury are pleased to share that two Town employees have achieved certification and recertification from the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association (MCTA).

On Nov. 9, Newbury’s Assistant Treasurer/Collector Lindsay Turner and Treasurer/Collector Diane Doyle were recognized by the MTCA during the association’s fall meeting, held at Holy Cross in Worcester.

Turner received certification to become a Massachusetts Municipal Tax Collector. Doyle received recertification as both a Massachusetts Municipal Tax Collector and a Massachusetts Municipal Treasurer.

MCTA certifies and provides professional development to city and town treasurers and collectors across the state, as well as regional and independent districts. MCTA updates members about legislative initiatives and changes, as well as encourages best financial practices.

“We are very lucky to have both Lindsay and Diane working in our community,” said Town Administrator Blais. “Congratulations to each of them on their continued commitment and dedication to growing in their current roles.”
