ACTON — Chief James Cogan reports that the Acton Police Department arrested and charged a Connecticut woman with identity fraud and attempted larceny.
JUDITH KRAMER, AGE 66, HARTFORD, CT., was arrested and charged with the following:
- Identity Fraud
- Attempted Larceny
On Tuesday, Dec 12., at approximately 1:28 p.m. Acton Police responded to Enterprise Bank, 340 Great Road, for reports of an individual attempting fraud.
Upon arrival officers spoke with the bank manager who reported that a woman was attempting to use fraudulent ID cards to obtain someone else’s banking information.
Officers located the suspect, KRAMER, and proceeded to question her about the incident. Multiple fake ID cards and documents were found in KRAMER’s personal belongings.
KRAMER was arrested without incident.
A subsequent investigation determined that KRAMER was hired by an unknown individual who obtained the fake ID cards and gave them to KRAMER who attempted to use them at the bank to gain personal account information.
KRAMER was arraigned in Concord District Court and held on $5,040 bail.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
