Pentucket Regional School District Announces December Concert Schedule

MERRIMAC — Superintendent Justin Bartholomew and Fine & Performing Arts Department Chair David Schumacher are pleased to share that students in the District’s music programs will be performing in various concerts this month. 

Elementary Band and Strings Winter Concert: Wednesday, Dec. 13, in the PRMHS auditorium. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Dec. 14. The strings concert will run from 6-6:45 p.m., and the band concert runs from 7:30-8:15 p.m.

This event features performances from all PRSD band and strings students in Grades 4-6. Tickets for both shows can be reserved at https://prsd.ludus.com/.

Café Jazz: Friday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. in the PRHS cafeteria. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Dec. 16.

The Café Jazz event will feature the Big Band and award-winning Jazz Combo, which will be performing the music of Sonny Rollins, JJ Johnson, Wes Montgomery, and others, along with several pieces by Duke Ellington in celebration of his band’s 100th anniversary. The dining commons will be transformed into an intimate jazz club where attendees can relax with a warm cup of coffee and a plate full of holiday treats while sitting amongst musicians.

Elementary Choirs Winter Concert: Monday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., in the PRMHS auditorium.

This event features performances from all PRSD Elementary Choirs. Tickets for both shows can be reserved at https://prsd.ludus.com/.

PRMS Ensembles Winter Concert and Arts Reception: Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the PRMHS dining commons and auditorium. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Dec. 21.

This event features work from visual art and video students that will be on display from 6-7 p.m., followed by performances from all PRMS ensembles at 7 p.m.

The entire program will lead the audience in a sing-along of holiday classics for the grand finale. Tickets can be reserved at https://prsd.ludus.com/.

PRHS Ensembles Concert and Arts Reception: Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the PRMHS dining commons and auditorium. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Dec. 21.

This event features work from visual art and video students that will be on display from 6-7 p.m., followed by performances from all PRHS ensembles at 7 p.m.

Superintendent Bartholomew will narrate “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and the entire program will lead the audience in a sing-along of holiday classics for the grand finale. Tickets can be reserved at https://prsd.ludus.com/.
