Blue Hills Football Wins State Vocational Championship

CANTON — Superintendent-Director Jill Rossetti is pleased to share that the Blue Hills Regional Technical High School Football team won the State Vocational Championship on Wednesday.

CANTON — Superintendent-Director Jill Rossetti is pleased to share that the Blue Hills Regional Technical High School Football team won the State Vocational Championship on Wednesday.

The Blue Hills Warriors faced the Tri-County Cougars on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Canton High School.

Blue Hills defeated Tri-County with a final score of 44-7. This win is Blue Hills’ second Massachusetts Vocational Athletic Directors Association Small Schools Vocational Championship in the last three years.

“I’m extremely proud of our football team,” said Coach Ed Madden. “Each player embraced the hard work and challenges of preparing for the playoffs and a state championship. The dedication, hard work and determination of our players and coaching staff led us to this victory.”

The Warriors’ record this season is 9-4 and the team won the Mayflower League. During the season, the Warriors ran for over 4,000 yards with running backs Caiden Montas, Aidan Landers and Matt Begin. 

The team was led by captains Brayden Mahoney, junior quarterback of Canton, and Tristin Camarra, junior lineman of Canton.

The Warriors were led by Head Coach and Blue Hills Alum Ed Madden, and Assistant Coaches Damien Ricci, Blue Hills Alum Ryan Kiff, David McCarthy, Bill Polito, Blue Hills Alum Earl Jones and David Thibault.
