Bourne School Bus Drivers to Host ‘Stuff-a-Bus’ Gift Drive this Weekend

BOURNE — Bourne’s school bus drivers will be hosting a Stuff-a-Bus gift drive this Saturday to help provide a happy holiday season to children in need throughout the community. All residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to stop by with new, unwrapped gifts. 

BOURNE — Bourne’s school bus drivers will be hosting a Stuff-a-Bus gift drive this Saturday to help provide a happy holiday season to children in need throughout the community. All residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to stop by with new, unwrapped gifts. 

WHEN:

Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE:

  • Bourne Intermediate School, 70 Trowbridge Road, Buzzards Bay
  • State Police Barracks at the Bourne Bridge, Bourne Rotary S

WHAT:

The Stuff-a-Bus gift drive will collect gifts to be distributed to children in need this holiday season.

Anyone who would like to participate can drop off an unwrapped gift or gift card for a child of any age.

Some suggestions for toys that children are asking for include:

  • Legos
  • Pokémon cards
  • Tech Deck
  • Squishmallows
  • Arts and crafts
  • Drawing/painting supplies
  • Science kits
  • Mini Brands toys
  • Board and card games

Some gift card suggestions include Amazon, Target, Walmart, Stop & Shop, Market Basket, CVS and Game Stop.

Bourne’s school bus drivers and Bourne Public Schools staff will be on hand to collect the gifts and greet those who are donating.

All donations will benefit children in the Bourne community.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming community members to this event,” said BPS Director of Transportation Sue Downing. “Each year we encourage the Bourne community to share in the spirit of giving by dropping off an unwrapped gift to bring joy to children in need this holiday season.”
