WHITMAN — Police Chief Timothy Hanlon and Superintendent Jeffrey Szymaniak are pleased to announce that the Whitman Police Department and Whitman-Hanson Regional High School football team served Thanksgiving meals to seniors on Saturday.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Knights of Columbus (K of C), officers from the Whitman Police Department, the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School varsity football team, and a number of volunteers from the K of C prepared and served Thanksgiving meals to 250 seniors in the community.
This is the 12th year that the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School football team has partnered with the Whitman Police Department for this event.
“We look forward to this Thanksgiving event each year, when we can give back to the seniors in our community,” said Chief Hanlon.
“We’re proud of our football players for coming out to support our community members,” Superintendent Szymaniak added.
