HAMPTON – Superintendent Lois Costa and Principal Ken Hawkins are pleased to share that Hampton Academy welcomed four new staff at the start of this school year.
The four staff members – Lauren Katz, Timothy Westphal, Brenna Mooney, and Sean Sullivan – began their new roles on July 1.
Lauren Katz, ESOL Teacher

Lauren Katz works with English language learners as a new member of the district’s ESOL team. She enjoys working across the grade levels working in small groups and collaborating with classroom teachers.
Lauren comes to the Hampton School District with over 15 years of experience as a middle school reading teacher in Barrington. She is excited to help both English language learners and all students create a supportive multicultural learning community.
Timothy Westphal, Assistant Principal

Timothy Westphal, who has more than 20 years of experience in education, comes to Hampton Academy as the new Assistant Principal. Over the years, Westphal has worked as a high school social studies teacher, the interim Dean of Students at Goffstown High School, and as an Assistant Principal at Franklin and Sanborn Regional High Schools.
Brenna Mooney, Grade 7 Math Teacher

Brenna Mooney is joining Hampton Academy as a new Grade 7 Math Teacher. Mooney is a longtime resident and a former Hampton Academy student. She recently graduated from Plymouth State University in May with her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a minor in Mathematics Education (K-8).
Sean Sullivan, Health Teacher

Sean Sullivan has been welcomed to the district as a new Health Teacher. Prior to joining the team at Hampton Academy, he served as a Health and PE teacher at Rochester Middle School and Sanborn High Schools.
He graduated from Keene State College in 2006 and is currently certified in physical education and health. He received a master’s degree from the University of New England in educational leadership.
