Town of Plainville Renews Community Electricity Aggregation For Another Two Years

PLAINVILLE — Town Administrator Brian Noble is pleased to announce that the Town of Plainville has renewed its Community Electricity Aggregation program for another two years, between December 2023 and November 2025.

Those who already participate in the program – and that’s most of Plainville residents and small businesses – don’t need to do anything to continue their participation. Those who have not been part of Plainville’s Community Electricity Aggregation Program (CEA) can read more about the program on the program website MassCEA.com/Plainville.

Effective December 2023, those participating in the program will start to see new prices, however, at this time prices are still lower than National Grid’s Basic Service. These prices will be fixed throughout November 2025.

Residents should note, savings cannot be guaranteed as compared to National Grid’s Basic Service rates, which change every six months for residential and commercial accounts and every three months for industrial accounts.

“We’re pleased that through the renewal of our Community Electricity Aggregation Program, we will be able to offer our community members a program that provides them with more cost-effective options for electricity,” Town Administrator Noble said. “Those interested in learning more are encouraged to check out our website to see the different ways in which they can save.”

Due to requirements from the Department of Public Utilities, participants in the 50% and 100% renewable products must affirmatively re-enroll in a product of their choosing to remain in the program. Good Energy will hold virtual public information sessions to answer any questions community members may have regarding the renewal of Plainville Community Electricity Aggregation. These sessions will be held on:
