MARION — The Town of Marion is pleased to share the renewal of the Marion Community Electricity Aggregation (CEA) program for the term of December 2023 – November 2025.
Most participants in Marion’s program use Marion Standard, which offers the same renewable energy content as Eversource Basic Service. Marion Standard participants will automatically receive the new program pricing on their December meter read and will not need to take any action to remain in the program in which they are currently enrolled.
Due to requirements from the Department of Public Utilities, participants in the 50% and 100% renewable product must affirmatively re-enroll in a product of their choosing to remain in the program. To re-enroll or change your product selection, call Constellation at 833-461-0813 or complete an enrollment form at MassCEA.com/Marion.
Good Energy, the consultant to the program, will hold two virtual public information sessions to answer questions and provide more information on the renewal of Marion CEA. The sessions are scheduled for:
- Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.: https://meet.google.com/ucj-dxgg-zzm
- Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.: https://meet.google.com/wat-qttj-xyx
The table below shows the new prices for the Marion CEA program compared to Eversource. Community members should note that the program cannot guarantee savings beyond the current term of Eversource Basic Service, as shown below, because future Eversource Basic Service rates are unknown.

The voluntary renewable energy content in the program’s optional product comes from projects that qualify as MA Class I renewables and make a sizable impact on the Town’s carbon footprint. Since Marion Community Electricity Aggregation’s launch in 2016, participants have cumulatively purchased 120 MWh of renewable energy. This equates to avoiding over 98,050 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions cumulatively.
There are over 2,300 participants in the program, which accounts for a vast majority of the Town’s residential, commercial and industrial electricity users. Participants have collectively saved more than $3.6 million since the program’s launch in 2016. While future savings cannot be guaranteed, the Town of Marion is committed to working toward affordable and stable electricity rates through Marion CEA.
Marion CEA is a Town-operated program open to all Marion residents and businesses. To join, complete the enrollment form at MassCEA.com/Marion or call the program’s supplier, Constellation, at 833-461-0813. Participants may leave the program at any time without fees or penalties.
Visit the program website to review all available program options and to submit any questions.
