LUDLOW — The Town of Ludlow shares that Town Administrator Marc Strange has been appointed to the Attorney General’s Open Meeting Law Advisory Commission.

Strange was appointed as the Massachusetts Municipal Association designee and will join the Commission on Nov. 1.

Strange was nominated for the role by the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA).

“I am honored to serve as a member of the Open Meeting Law Advisory Commission. I wish to thank the Attorney General’s Office for appointing me, as well as the MMA for its nomination,” said Town Administrator Strange. “As municipal leaders we take openness and transparency very seriously, and this is a great opportunity to respond to the needs of officials and the public at a higher level.”

The Open Meeting Law outlines rules and regulations for public bodies, including posting of meeting notices, keeping and handling of meeting minutes, investigations and resolutions of complaints, and remote participation.

The Open Meeting Law Advisory Commission reviews issues related to the Open Meeting Law and advises the Attorney General’s Office on regulations, training, and educational initiatives.

“Marc brings extensive public sector and legal expertise to this important role,” said Adam Chapdelaine, Executive Director and CEO of the Massachusetts Municipal Association. “We know he’ll be an outstanding addition to the Open Meeting Law Advisory Commission and we thank him for his willingness to serve in this important capacity.”
