WENHAM – The Town of Wenham invites the community to share feedback about potential future uses for the Iron Rail property at a visioning session. The Town is conducting a study to ensure that the potential long-term use of the Iron Rail property aligns with the best interests of the community.

The Iron Rail Best Use Study Public Outreach Workshop is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m., at Buker Elementary School, 1 School St.

The Iron Rail property is an 80-acre town-owned property located at 91 Grapevine Road. The Town purchased the property in 1974. The site is currently home to municipal functions, soccer fields, businesses, and open space.

The Town is working with the Landscape Architecture and Planning firm, Dodson & Flinker, to study the best uses for the property.

During the interactive and visioning Oct. 2 workshop, residents and stakeholders will learn about the property and potential uses. There will be ample time to provide vital feedback in a participatory process that will inform the Town’s decisions.

The Town also encourages residents to take a short community survey, which may be found here.

Those with questions may contact Joseph Pessimato, Assistant Town Administrator, at JPessimato@wenhamma.gov.
