Tyngsborough Police Investigating Death of Teenage Girl

TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are investigating the death of a teenage girl found in her home.

On Monday, July 31, at 7:46 a.m., Tyngsborough Police and Fire responded to a residence in town for a report of an unresponsive person.  Emergency medical services were administered on scene. The girl, age 14, was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The cause and manner of death are under investigation, and an autopsy is being conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office. However, the death was not immediately ruled to be suspicious.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
