MARION — Town Administrator Geoffrey Gorman is pleased to share that the town recently held an event to recognize town employees for all that they do.

The Employee Appreciation Day was held at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center Pavilion on June 28. This was the town’s first official Employee Appreciation Day event.

All town offices closed for the afternoon to give employees a chance to attend. Lunch was served during the event, catered by Kate’s Simple Eats, of Marion. Music played throughout and employees were able to relax and mingle.

“Employees across all of our town departments work hard everyday on behalf of our residents, business owners and visitors, providing a range of services and programming,” Town Administrator Gorman said. “While we appreciate their efforts each day, the Employee Appreciation Day gave us time to specifically recognize our staff and provide them with an opportunity to relax and enjoy the afternoon.”
