ACTON — Police Chief James Cogan reports that the Acton Police Department responded to a rollover crash involving an Acton Department of Public Works dump truck on Main Street Wednesday.
On Wednesday, July 5, at approximately 1:36 p.m., Acton Police and Firefighters were called to Main Street at Ledgerock Way for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a rollover.
Officers arrived to discover that an Acton DPW dump truck got caught on overhead wires in the area and rolled onto its side.
The driver, an Acton DPW employee, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Police closed Main Street in the area while the truck was brought back onto its wheels. Main Street remains closed in the area and will be reopened once low-hanging wires are repaired.
