Rowley Water Department Announces Water Use Restrictions

ROWLEY – The Rowley Water Department announces that mandatory water use restrictions are now in effect.

ROWLEY – The Rowley Water Department announces that mandatory water use restrictions are now in effect.

The water use restrictions in place require that no non-essential water use activities take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. Examples of non-essential water use include car washing, lawn sprinklers, pool filling, etc.

Restrictions apply to businesses and residents, and there will be no exceptions.

A full list of essential uses can be viewed here.

The water use restrictions were triggered by the Parker River Streamflow falling below 20 cubic feet per second for three consecutive days. Staff will continue to monitor daily water use and water levels, and make changes to the restrictions as appropriate.

Those with questions should contact the Rowley Water Department at 978-948-2640.
