MARION — Town Administrator Geoffrey Gorman wishes to congratulate town employee Teresa Firth on her successful finish of the 2023 Boston Marathon last month.
Firth is the secretary for the Town of Marion Department of Public Works. She has served the town since 2019.
Firth ran alongside more than 30,000 other runners on Monday, April 17. She ran in honor of her father.
This year marks her 16th time running in the Boston Marathon. She completed the 26.2-mile course in three hours and 52 minutes.
This is Firth’s 33rd marathon, overall.
“I would like to congratulate Teresa on her 16th Boston Marathon finish,” said Town Administrator Gorman. “Completing a marathon is no easy feat, and her dedication and perseverance are inspiring.”
