WOBURN – Principal Carl Nelson is pleased to announce that Kennedy Middle School recently held a multicultural fair for students.
The multicultural fair took place on Monday, March 30. More than 80 Kennedy Middle School students gathered together to showcase facts and details about their countries.
Students created display boards, made traditional foods, and demonstrated cultural traditions for their peers to enjoy. There were about 35 countries represented at the event, including Albania, Brazil, Cameroon, Guatemala, Haiti, Japan, Mexico, Palestine, Portugal, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Sweden, and Vietnam.
“This event helped our students learn about where their classmates come from and allowed them to see what sort of traditions take place in different countries. Learning about other cultures is extremely important for our students to have a sense of belonging and community,” said Principal Nelson. “It also instilled a huge sense of pride for those that participated. Thank you to everyone who helped put the fair together.”
