HULL – Superintendent Judith Kuehn and Principal Kyle Shaw are pleased to share that Lillian M. Jacobs Elementary School students showcased a wide range of talents during this year’s talent show.
Students, staff, families and community members gathered at the Lillian M. Jacobs Elementary School cafeteria/auditorium to watch the talent show, hosted by Hull student council members, on Wednesday, April 12. A total of fifteen acts from students in grades three through five took the stage throughout the night. Performances included dancing, singing, cheerleading, tumbling, comedy routines and more.
This year marked the return of the school’s annual talent show following a multi-year hiatus after the event was discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I want to extend my gratitude to Elaine Menice, Jessica Scott and Lindsey Rajan for planning and facilitating this event,” said Superintendent Kuehn. “It was a joy to reintroduce this event to the Jacobs school community and it was made possible thanks to our amazing student council and staff.”
In between acts, positive and encouraging remarks were made by the hosts and judges about each student’s talent before and after each performance.
Funds raised from ticket sales at the event will be used to improve the Lillian M. Jacobs Elementary School recess zones for the 2023-2024 school year.
“The kindness and camaraderie demonstrated among performers, hosts and judges was incredible to witness,” said Principal Shaw. “I want to thank everyone involved in making this event so special.”
