BERKLEY – Chief Scott Fournier, on behalf of Berkley Fire Rescue, would like to thank Berkley’s public safety dispatchers during this year’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is held annually during the second week of April to honor telecommunications personnel for their commitment, service, and sacrifice.

NPSTW, held this year from April 9-15, is a time to celebrate and thank telecommunications personnel across the country who serve their communities, citizens and public safety personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“On behalf of the members of Berkley Fire Rescue, I would like to acknowledge the dedicated team of telecommunication professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that each person they speak to on the phone receives effective and efficient care,” Chief Fournier said. “Our dispatchers handle a variety of calls throughout the day yet, regardless of the circumstances, they take each call with the utmost professionalism that allows us to work seamlessly as a team. As first responders, we couldn’t do our job without our dispatchers, and for that, I thank them.”
