Carver High School Junior Camren Allain Wins First Place in High Jump Category at Adidas Nationals Competition

CARVER — Superintendent Scott Knief and Interim Athletic Director/Assistant High School Principal Sean McInnis are pleased to announce that Carver High School junior Camren Allain won first place in the high jump category at this year’s Adidas National Competition. 

Allain was among students from across the country that gathered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, from Friday, March 17, through Sunday, March 19, to compete in the Adidas National Competition. Students competed in multiple categories including track, shot put, pole vault, high jump and more.

Allain, who is in his first full season of competing in the high jump category, took first place with a 6-foot-8-inch jump. He was one of 10 students to compete in the high jump category at the national competition.

“We are very proud of Camren for this accomplishment as we have seen him work diligently this season to grow his high jump skills,” Superintendent Knief said. “On behalf of the entire school district, I would like to congratulate Camren for placing first in the competition. We greatly look forward to seeing what he does next.”

Allain was the only student-athlete from Carver to qualify for the Adidas National Competition this year. He previously placed third in the high jump at the New Balance Nationals in early March.

 Allain hopes to keep competing over the next year and to break his own record with a new high jump goal. 

“Qualifying for Nationals is something I’m really proud of,” Allain said. “Placing first in the high jump was something I’ve been working toward all year, and I’m thankful to my coach and family for supporting me throughout this event.”
