BELMONT — Belmont Council on Aging Director Dana Bickelman wishes to invite community members to an information session reviewing the free Belmont Home Fit Guide and the AARP HomeFitGuide.

Friday, April 7, from 1-2:30 p.m. 

WHERE: 

Beech Street Center, 266 Beech St. 

WHAT:

Free Belmont Home Fit Guides will be available for pickup during an information session on Friday, April 7 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Beech Street Center. 

During this information session, a representative from AARP and members of Belmont’s Age-Friendly Action Committee will review the free Belmont Home Fit Guide and the AARP HomeFitGuide. These guides are designed to help Belmont residents better understand how to make their homes safer, more comfortable, and a better “fit” for residents of every age.

In collaboration with the Office of Community Development and AARP, the Belmont Age Friendly Action Committee developed a guide to assist Belmont homeowners who want to modify or update their homes to adapt to the changing needs of older residents.

The Belmont Home Fit Guide will be available in  April at several locations including Beech Street Center, 266 Beech St., Belmont Town Hall, 455 Concord Ave, Belmont Public Library, 146 Main St. and other locations around town.
