LUDLOW — The Town of Ludlow is pleased to announce that Town Administrator Marc Strange has been appointed to the Municipal and Regional Administration Policy Committee for the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA).
Town Administrator Strange was appointed to the 2023 Municipal and Regional Administration Policy Committee, as a Presidential Appointee, by the Massachusetts Municipal Association on Feb. 14.
The Municipal and Regional Administration Policy Committee considers and collaborates on issues that relate to the organization, structure and efficiency of both local and regional government, and the relationship between the two. Issues can range from public health and safety to housing and zoning.
The MMA has five policy committees made up of over 100 local officials across Massachusetts. Each committee is made up of 23 members and includes seven member categories per committee. Member categories that include mayors, select board members, councilors, city and town managers/administrators and finance committee members serve three-year terms, while ‘presidential appointees’ and technical appointees serve one-year terms.
“I would like to thank the MMA Board of Directors for the opportunity to represent both the Town of Ludlow and all Western Mass communities,” said Town Administrator Strange. “This new role will allow me to collaborate with a variety of town leaders from across the state and I am looking forward to sharing ideas to help make our administrations more efficient and effective for our communities.”
