BURLINGTON — Director Michael Wick is pleased to announce that the Burlington Public Library is partnering with the Woburn Public Library and the St. Mark Community Education Program to offer a Citizen Information Night presentation and a free 10-week citizenship preparation course.

The events will be held at the Woburn Public Library, 45 Pleasant St., Woburn.

The Citizenship Information Night will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. A citizenship instructor from the Boston-based St. Mark Community Education Program will outline the U.S. citizenship process and answer any questions.

The citizenship preparation course will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on 10 consecutive Saturdays, from March 4 to May 6. The course will cover the citizenship interview’s civics questions, the reading and writing sections, and interview questions as seen on the N-400 application.

Those taking the citizenship preparation course must have intermediate English skills. They must also be a legal U.S. permanent resident (hold a green card) for 4.6 years, or only three years if married to a U.S. citizen.

Funding in part for this program comes from a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Registration is required for the citizenship preparation course. Click here to sign up.
