SUDBURY – Goodnow Library is pleased to share that it has partnered with over 65 libraries to group sponsor a new program series, the 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group.
The 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group is a professional networking forum specifically designed for those ages 50 and up who are actively looking for jobs, seeking a new career direction, or re-entering the job market. Through the program, participants will develop new relationships, skills, and strategies to help with career transitioning and job seeking. The group will meet biweekly via Zoom and will run from January to June.
Each meeting will feature a new topic relevant to career transition, including how to create a career story pitch, marketing, applications, resume development, and more. Topics will be explored through presentations and hands-on workshops, guest speakers, access to hiring managers, small group breakout rooms to network, as well as one-on-one coaching guidance.
The first sessions, which will cover “Self-Assessment and Transferable Skills,” will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 6-8 p.m. Participants may choose to attend either one.
Deborah Hope, MBA, PCIC, an experienced executive career coach, will facilitate the meetings. Hope is a former Fortune 500 executive, investment banker, and entrepreneur who has been working in executive coaching for more than 12 years. She has coached with Harvard Business School Executive Education programs, the Massachusetts Conference for Women, and has been trained and certified in a variety of coaching models and assessment tools.
There is no cost to attend the 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group. To register for the program, visit goodnowlibrary.org/events.
