Registration for Thomas Crane Public Library’s Fall Children’s Storytimes and Programs Opens Oct. 31

QUINCY 一 Director Sara Slymon is pleased to share that registration for the Thomas Crane Public Library’s Children’s Storytimes and Programs opens Monday. 

On Monday, Oct. 31, at 9 a.m., registration will open for the Thomas Crane Public Library’s in-person storytimes and programs in November and December. Parents may register their children online using the links provided below, by calling 617-376-1300 (extension 4) or by visiting the Children’s Room at the Main Library (40 Washington St.)

TCPL children’s programs are open to Quincy residents, and children must be of age for the selected program by the time the program begins. 

The following programs are available this fall: 

Mother Goose on the Loose Storytime for ages 12-23 months: A storytime for Rock-a-Bye Baby graduates, ages 12-23 months, who are mobile; includes stories, songs, fingerplays and creative movement for young children accompanied by an adult. This program is available (please register for only one of the two offerings): 

  • Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning Nov. 15 To register online once registration opens, click here.

StoryLab at Wollaston for ages 4-8:  StoryLab is a combination of storytime and science activity for children ages 4-8. We will use stories to introduce a science concept or topic, then explore that topic further with science demonstrations, activities, and experiments. This program occurs on:

  •  Mondays at 3 p.m. beginning Nov. 14. To register online once registration opens, click here.

Chickadees Book Club for children in grades 1 or 2 who are able to read and write independently: This book group is a cross between a storytime and a book club. Using short stories and early readers as our texts, we’ll have fun with simple games and crafts while reinforcing key reading and discussion skills in this fun and interactive series. Questions? Stop by or call the Children’s Room at 617-376-1300 ext. 4 and ask for Mrs. Miller. This program occurs on:
