BURLINGTON 一 The Burlington Public Library invites community members to a film screening and book signing of Bill Lichtenstein’s “WBCN and The American Revolution: How a Radio Station Defined Politics, Counterculture, and Rock and Roll.”

WHAT:
Lichtenstein is a Peabody Award-winning journalist and one-time WBCN radio announcer. His film and book reveal the amazing story of WBCN-FM, a radical underground Boston radio station, set during the profound social, political, and cultural changes of the late 60s and early 70s.
After the film screening, Lichtenstein will be available to answer the audience’s questions. Copies of the book will be available for sale and for signing.
Lichtenstein is the winner of more than 61 major journalism awards. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Village Voice and The Boston Globe.
He worked at WBCN from 1971-1977, beginning as a teenage volunteer on the station’s “Listener Line.”
“We are so thrilled to be hosting Bill Lichtenstein for a night at Burlington Public Library,” Director Michael Wick said. “We encourage community members to join us for what is sure to be a fun, eye-opening and educational event.”
