BELMONT — Chief David DeStefano and the Belmont Fire Department are excited to invite the community to an open house event this weekend at Fire Headquarters.

Residents and visitors alike are welcome to attend the open house on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 2-4 p.m. at Fire Headquarters, 299 Trapelo Road.

The family-friendly event, which is free for all, will include a variety of demonstrations of firefighters’ work, as well as hands-on activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore Belmont Fire’s assorted apparatus and equipment and learn more about the myriad ways the department supports the community.

“We look forward to welcoming members of our community into our headquarters to see our facility firsthand and engage with our members to learn more about what they do on a daily basis,” Chief DeStefano said.

Free pizza and soda will be available as well.
