SUDBURY – Goodnow Library is pleased to invite the community to attend its July art exhibit showcasing an international poster collection by Stephen Lewis.

“Green Politics” features posters that reflect upon important environmental issues such as renewable energy, global warming, fracking, elimination of nuclear weapons, cloning, genetically modified plants, protecting forests, and more.

Lewis is a long-time activist in the labor movement and has exhibited at a number of public libraries in Massachusetts and two state Heritage parks. He has collected thousands of posters documenting labor organizing, political activism, and other radical and social justice movements.

The exhibit will be on display from July 5-29 at the Library, 21 Concord Road. The exhibit is open regular library hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event is fully accessible. The project is supported in part by a grant from the Sudbury Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and by donations by the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1445 and Sheetmetal Workers Local 17.
