SWANSEA — Director of Operations Adam Kitchen is pleased to announce that Swansea Cable Access Television will be hosting a “Meet the Candidates Night” this Thursday ahead of the Annual Town Election.

Thursday, March 31 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Swansea Police Station, 1700 Grand Army of the Republic Highway
WHAT:
Ahead of the Annual Town Election, Swansea Cable Access Television will host a “Meet the Candidates Night,” which will allow for residents to meet and learn more about those who are running for office.
The event will begin with unopposed candidates who will have two minutes to provide a candidate statement to the community. Following a brief recess, the event will transition into a traditional question and answer-styled debate for the only opposed race this year, the selectmen race.
At the event, various candidates running for elected positions will be in attendance. Elected positions included in this year’s race are Treasurer/Collector, Assessor, school committee member, two library trustees, one Community Preservation Committee member, six constables, one housing authority member, one planning board member, one park commission member and Selectman.

The event will be televised on Channel 15 and also streamed on Swansea Cable Access TV’s website and Facebook page.
