“We are very encouraged to see so many parents bring their children in to be vaccinated,” said Rachel Lee, Public Health Nurse for the Town of Hamilton and a leader of the Collaborative. “These vaccinations provide an extra layer of protection for children and those around them, especially during the holiday season.

GCACC is being supported at several clinics by Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of Scituate, which is providing up to four therapy dog teams. The teams — Deborah and Gus, Gayle and Gracie, Amanda and Stella, and Pamela and Ruby — provide a friendly, furry, and calming presence for children, their parents and guardians, and the clinic staff.

“We are so grateful for these volunteers and the time they have so generously donated,” Lee said.
